We are not a chain and we do not have branches. Everything we let is under one roof at The Old Rock Factory, Keswick Road, Blackpool FY1 5PB. That is central Blackpool, a short way inland from the Tower and the seafront.
The Fylde coast is a long, narrow strip, though. Fleetwood sits at the northern tip, Lytham faces the Ribble estuary at the southern end, and Poulton-le-Fylde is inland. A unit that suits someone in Layton may be a less obvious choice for someone in Fleetwood. So rather than pretend every postcode is the same, we have written a separate guide for each area, with honest notes on what to weigh up.
Before you commit to anything, look up your own route to The Rock Factory on Google Maps. Only you know how often you will visit and how you will get here.

All our ground-floor units are windowless, with lighting, electricity and Wi-Fi already connected. Rent is based on floor area and is paid on a rolling monthly basis.

A store near home or a unit in central Blackpool?
There is no single right answer, and we would rather you chose well than chose us. These are the questions that usually decide it:
- How often will you visit? If you will be in and out every day, the journey matters a great deal. If you will visit once a month, it matters far less.
- What are you storing? A van-load of furniture is a one-off trip. Stock you pick from daily is a different job.
- Do you need workspace or just storage? Many self-storage sites offer storage only. Our units have power and Wi-Fi, and business use is possible with prior approval.
- When do you need access? We offer 24-hour access, so early starts and late finishes are fine.
- How long are you committing for? Our minimum term is one month, then one month's notice.

What we do not do
We want these area guides to be straight with you, so here is what we do not offer:
- We do not collect from your home or deliver to it. You bring your things to Keswick Road yourself, or use a removals firm of your choice.
- We have no other sites. If you see a Rock Factory page mentioning your area, it is about people from that area using our Blackpool building.
- We do not store cars, and some activities are not allowed in the building. Our guide to what not to store explains why.
Moving in from anywhere on the coast
Units are available from 1 November 2026, and pre-bookings get the first week free. The steps are the same wherever you come from:
- AskTell us what you want to store or do, and we will suggest a unit.
- ViewArrange a viewing so you can see the space and judge the journey for yourself.
- PaperworkBring valid government-issued photo ID and sign a Direct Debit mandate.
- Pay and move inOne month's rent in advance plus a security deposit equal to one month's rent.

Do you have storage sites in other Fylde towns?
No. The Rock Factory is a single building on Keswick Road, off Park Road, in central Blackpool (FY1 5PB). Our area pages are for people elsewhere on the coast who are weighing up a unit here.
How far is The Rock Factory from my home?
We do not quote distances or journey times, because they depend on where you start and how you travel. Look up your route on Google Maps using our full address: The Old Rock Factory, Keswick Road, Blackpool FY1 5PB.
Can you pick up my things from St Annes, Poulton or Fleetwood?
No, we do not offer collection or delivery. You move your own things in, or arrange a removals firm, and we give you 24-hour access once you are a tenant.
Which unit is best if I only have a few boxes?
Our ground-floor units start at 150 sq ft. For small amounts, the first-floor storage pods opening in spring 2027 may suit better, with guide prices from £10 a week (to be confirmed).
Prices are subject to availability. Minimum rental term: one month, then one month’s notice to leave. Electricity usage is charged separately at the supplier rate, with no markup. Business use needs prior approval. Car storage is not permitted.
